Amorphous Material
Polyethersulphone(PES) PES is an amorphous material with a translucent amber tint. It has excellent dimensional stability and very good electrical insulation properties. It is also characterised by its creep resistance - substantial loads can be carried for long periods at temperatures up to 180°C - and thermal stability PES parts can be used for thousands of hours up to 200°C with no significant loss of strength. PES has a UL relative thermal index rating of 180°C and a flammability rating of UL94V-0 at 0.46mm. When burned, PES emits very small amounts of toxic gases and smoke. PES available in rod and plate in a range of sizes. |
